The narrative of Calloquy’s history, while brief, is distinguished by many things of which we are proud. SPRING 2020

Time for Change


The COVID-19 pandemic unleashes an unprecedented change in attitudes and expectations throughout the legal sector. While litigating from his West Virginia cabin, David Carter, a litigation partner at an AmLaw 100 law firm, grows ever-more concerned about the security of mass- market videoconference platforms. David decides it's time for Calloquy.

 
FALL 2021

Calloquy is born


Calloquy, PBC is born and makes its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, home to one of the most diverse, tech-savvy workforces in the world. As a PBC, Calloquy is a for-profit company with a social mission. Calloquy intends to fulfill that mission by leveraging tech to bring access to justice to those who need it most.

 
WINTER 2021

Calloquy Retains the Best


Calloquy talks with countless judges, private-sector attorneys, public-sector attorneys, paralegals, clerks, in-house counsel, to develop the first remote litigation platform built for litigators. It hires the best developers, programmers, customer support and technical success teams to bring it to life.

 
SUMMER 2022

Passes Through Beta


Calloquy begins Beta testing process with AmLaw100 law firm in preparation for offering a world-class experience for its customers. Calloquy is the culmination of three tenets of Carter’s career: technology, litigation, and social impact.

 
FALL 2022

Formally Launched


Calloquy launches with a panel discussion and celebration at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta.

Calloquy obtains licensure for its world-class court reporting services. Functioning in harmony with the secure litigation platform, Calloquy is poised to transform litigation.

 
SPRING 2023

Calloquy Expands


At 65+ employees-strong, Calloquy readies itself to usher in The Next Era of Litigation™. We opened offices in Dallas, TX and Tustin, CA. The platform is equipped to facilitate remote witness interviews and team meetings throughout the life cycle of any case, as well as specific meeting configurations that make depositions, mediations, and arbitrations more effective and more efficient than ever before.

 
SPRING 2023

(SOC) 2 Type I


Calloquy achieves the System and Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type I report, validating its commitment to cyber security protocols for everyone involved in a remote proceeding. Because our court reporters are employees, our SOC 2 certification applies to everyone involved in a remote proceeding. This is a rare distinction in an industry that relies on third-parties and their third-parties.
